About Al baraka Forum for Islamic Finance
- Al Baraka Islamic Economics Forum has started its activities as a Shariah, banking and economics think tank, which represents a cornerstone for developing the Islamic Economics and Islamic banking from both technical and Figh perspectives. This symposium is regularly held each Ramadan. Where renowned and famous Shariah scholars, bankers and experts discuss some modern banking transactions and issue some Shariah opinions (Fatwas) and recommendations for the enhancement and enrichment of Islamic banking, and solving its problems. The symposium had been held since its first inception in Madinah 1981 and up-to-date in different cities, including Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and Jeddah in addition to Damascus, Cairo, Kuala Lumpur, Beirut, Istanbul, Tunis, Algeria, and Amman.
Job Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Database Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems, as well as conducting market research and data analysis to support business decisions. This role requires a strong background in data architecture, proficiency in SQL and other data languages, and the ability to interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research:
- Conduct market research to gather data on industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
- Analyze market data to identify opportunities and threats.
- Prepare reports and presentations based on market research findings.
- Data Collection and Management:
- Collect data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across different data sources.
- Reporting and Visualization:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data insights.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders.
- Use data visualization tools to present complex data in an understandable format.
- Database Design and Maintenance:
- Design and create database structures to support business applications.
- Ensure data integrity, performance, security, and recoverability of databases.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery.
- Conduct performance tuning, balancing, improvement, automation, and usability.
- Data Modeling and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain data models to support business needs.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries and naming conventions.
- Document changes and modifications for training purposes and future reference.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business administration or any relevant subject;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in economic research, databases and statistics;
- Islamic Economy knowledge is desirable;
- Excellent command of English Language both written and spoken is must;
- Strong skills in data collection systems, data analysis, and report writing;
- Knowledge of Islamic finance highly valued;
- Successful experience managing a large database system;
- Excellent Microsoft office skills is must;
- Must be self-starter works independently while contributing to the team goals;
- Ability to take initiative and move projects forward in a fast-growing;
- Excellent time-management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
